At #christmas time one needs a sexy sweet Matzo Ball story to balance things out #lgbtq

Yes, we do have a Christmas time story in Sexy to Go Gay  Romance. It’s not so much a Christmas story as a Jewish story, thus the title. But Matzo Ball by Avery Duran shouldn’t be ignored on the basis of which faith you prefer. It’s a pretty fun read either way!

Excerpt: Matzo Ball Soup by Avery Duran

I walked toward the hot bartender, wondering exactly what he wanted from me. He gestured for me to follow him. His long legs moved quickly, but I didn’t mind walking behind him since it meant I could watch that tight ass move in his clinging pants. The rest of him was just as sexy as I had expected, broad shoulders tapering down into a small waist that emphasized his perfect rear. He was a little taller than I, which would make him just over six feet. We walked through a door marked “Employees only” and down a long, winding hallway. I suppressed the voice in my head reminding me this was a set-up for an episode of Unsolved Mysteries.
Finally, some sense of self-preservation emerged and I asked him, “Where are we going?”

He turned around, smiled at me, and leaned against the wall. “Here is good.”

I looked around the barren hallway, “But…what am I helping you with?”

“It’s actually more of what I helped you with.”

I was stumped. I mean, the guy was hot as hell, but I was starting to feel as if I’d fallen down the rabbit hole. I really hoped he wasn’t going to try to sell me something, or rope me into a get-rich-quick scheme. The time for me to make my escape had definitely come. Pity such hotness was going to waste. “Look, buddy, I appreciate whatever you
mean to do, but I’m meeting a friend and should get going.”

He started to laugh and I froze—seriously, I could not move. When he smiled, his eyes crinkled up at the corners and his whole face lit up; I had never seen anything more mesmerizing.

He put his hand out. “Wait a minute, was I reading you wrong? Because seriously, I did NOT think you were interested in giving that woman her dream of two-point-five kids and a white picket fence.” He put his hand on my shoulder. “C’mon, we can go back.”

“No!” I yelled, probably a little too enthusiastically. “L-Let’s not go back.”

“Well, I have to go back if I want to get paid, but I can get you out the back door—for a price.”

“What’s the price?”

One side of his mouth kicked up. “Your number and a kiss.”

I was stunned; this walking dream wanted to kiss me? Mr. Bland? I started looking around the hall.

“What are you looking for?”

“The cameras. This must be some sort of reality show.”

His smile widened and he stepped closer to me. “No hidden cameras. I just saw one of my own needing some rescuing and I really wanted to be the one to do it.”

“You mean a fellow Jew?”

He put his hand to my cheek. “Well, that too.”

As his face got closer to mine, I took in a quick breath. He nipped my bottom lip and I opened for him; his soft mouth felt amazing against mine. His hands stayed on my face, holding me in place. As his tongue rubbed over mine, I brought my hands up into his hair and scratched my fingers along his closely-shorn head. He pulled back and nuzzled along the side of my mouth and chin. He stepped closer and his arms dropped around my shoulders, gripping them tightly. I kissed him back and when he groaned, I felt the vibration moving through my chest.

He started to slow down, not letting go of me, but pulling away from my mouth and looking deeply into my eyes. My heart pounded and my dick throbbed. I wanted so much more with this man. I moved closer to—holy shit, I don’t know his name! Reality hit me like a bucket of cold water. I just made out with a stranger in the hallway.

I think he saw the panic start to emerge on my face. “Hey, don’t freak out.”

“I’m not freaking out.” I lied.

“I’ll miss you.” I stood in the kitchen with my arms around Chloe, holding her as I always did, until the very last minute before she had to go catch her plane back to the big city. Never one for goodbyes, our relationship ironically seemed built around them. Like a butterfly, Chloe was always leaving and coming, arriving and departing. She and I had just shared two long weeks of bliss here in my rustic-but-modernly appointed home, and I was reticent to let her go, more so this time than ever before. Yet I refused to spoil our parting by starting another, move to the small town, argument.

She pulled back from my embrace. “I’ll miss you, too. But you know I have to get back to work. Got bills to pay.”

Knowing she did didn’t make parting any easier. In my opinion, it made it worse. The same questions always floated to the top of my mind. Why couldn’t she stay here with me permanently in Butte, Montana? Why did it always seem easier for her to leave?

Worry niggled at me. Did she have another lover stowed in Cincinnati? Had she lied to me and was really married? Sighing, I gazed down into her mink brown eyes searching for answers.

Chloe stiffened in my arms. “What? What is it?”

She shook her head and stepped out of my arms entirely, spinning around so I couldn’t see her face.

I took two steps toward her trying to keep the alarm out of my voice. “What’s going on? Are you okay?”

She whirled and flashed me a smile, but her eyes radiated worry. “There’s something I’m going to do when I get home that I haven’t told you about … yet.”

I scratched my short-trimmed dark hair and prayed for patience, but unease quickly settled into the middle of my chest. It wasn’t like her to keep secrets from me, at least not that I knew of. I sure didn’t have any secrets from her. What she saw was what she got—a stocky mid-thirties rural veterinarian butch living in a comfortable, modernized cabin, who was ragingly in lust with her.

“All right. Is it about your job?”

She shook her head, swishing the cascade of blonde curls around her shoulders. The hair always made her appear young and innocent, but I wasn’t quite buying it.

The worst-case scenario popped into my mind. “Are you … leaving me?”

She came forward and took my hand. “No, silly. But I have made a decision you might not like.”

Oh boy. I was too afraid to ask, so I remained silent, waiting.

She must have gathered her courage from somewhere deep within and found enough of it because her head lifted and her chin came up. “I want a baby.”

DARKEST MAGIC

Nik Epperstein’s alpha lost his mate two years ago and took an evil witch as his new bride. Ever since then, Eli’s leadership has become violent, bordering on insane. When Eli attacks him, Nik’s healing powers mysteriously vanish. He can’t defend himself, nor protect the wolf he secretly loves. Only through the help of a foul-mouthed witch and an overly-dramatic dwarf will he save her – but their assistance comes at a price.

Caroline has tried for two years to lure Nik into her bed and can’t understand his hesitation.  After all, she senses their mating bond loud and clear. Then Nik disappears. She confronts her father who tells her Nik is dead, and she’s next on his chopping block.  Without Nik to protect her, she flees the pack and is kidnapped by a man half her size.

Reunited at last, the young wolves have one last chance to ignite their bond. But love must wait when battle looms. Eli and his wife attack, and aren’t above using dirty tricks to win. If Nik and Caroline survive the battle, the dwarf and his wife will require them to make a promise that will change their lives forever…

EXCERPT: Nik frustrates Caroline

Caroline inhaled Nik’s woodsy scent and longed to rub herself against his flannel shirt and jeans. The man was gorgeous to look at. His dark hair swept low over his brow in an effortlessly sexy style. The stubble on his chin and cheeks lent him an outdoor-rough manly appeal few pulled off as well. She sighed and desire flooded her from head to toe. But, as usual, the desire left her unfulfilled. After all these years, Nik still hadn’t made a move on her.

Frustrated, but ever hopeful, she rounded the corner of the woodshed and pretended to bump right into him. He caught her easily, his warm, gentle hands circling her waist. For a few seconds, their bodies touched from chest to hip. The tingle zinged through her like an electric charge. Oh, God, how she wanted to give herself over to the wave of lust washing over her. The trouble would be getting Nik to go along for the ride. “Nik,” she breathed, raising her arms and putting her hands behind his neck. She slanted her mouth upward, lips parted in a blatant invitation. She sensed the instant his cock went hard. It pressed against her mound firm as an iron rod, making her womb clench. “Sorry for intruding,” she murmured.

His mouth sank toward hers until it hovered tantalizingly close then abruptly stopped. He released her and backed out of her reach, running his fingers through his hair as though trying to make sense of something. She missed the touch immediately and resisted the urge to fist her hands and scream. Nik’s hesitation more than exasperated her; it made her want to kick him in the ass.

“No problem, Cari.” He flashed her his usual conspirator’s smile. “What kind of trouble are you getting into today?”

She huffed, gritting her teeth as she slapped her thighs. “Nothing, really.” But I’d like to, if you’d only cooperate, you infuriating man. Taking another chance, she stepped close enough to whisper in his ear, “But if you have any ideas, let me know.”

Nik tilted his head back and gave a light chuckle. She took the opportunity to touch his chest, swiping her fingers across his solid pec. When he brought his head forward once more, his smoldering eyes set the region between her legs on fire. Oh yes, please, Nik. Please.
