Rites of Spring blog hop

Welcome to the Rites of Spring blog hop! If you follow the links below, you will be treated to a whole bunch of author’s posts about the *first time* for their characters. Mine is about the first time Max sees Violet in Sweet Cravings:

Cream Puff Closeup

Cream Puff Closeup

The first time Max saw Violet she stood across the dining room of the Olympian Hotel wearing a little black dress that accentuated all her curves. He’d wanted to drool, but with so many people milling around it wouldn’t have been proper. So he’d watched from afar as she picked up one of his cream puffs and cradled it lovingly. Seeing the way she treated it like a baby warmed his heart. He loved to see women who loved food – especially when it was his.

Her face glowed when she gazed upon his puff and his heart warmed with pride. But the breath caught in his throat when she moved her gaze to him. Full of hunger, brimming with desire, it hit him with force and knocked him for a loop. Not many women were so open with their needs, but he could read them all on her face. And he immediately loved them.

For him, the relationship between women and food and sex had never been a mystery. He enjoyed full-figured women with healthy appetites who knew what they wanted. He loved to satisfy their needs. Trouble was, not many had come his way lately.

Wait. What was this? She was coming toward him! Good lord, those hips! That mouth! Those eyes! Could he get so lucky? Could it be true?

Given the chance to satisfy her needs, he might never stop. Now all he had to do was convince her…

  1. Woo! This one had me first at the picture and again at the words cream puff! This book sounds like it would be perfect in so many ways. I have got to add this to my need list, no not want, want has nothing to do with it, it’s a need. It sounds great and looks great!

As for the spring thing, my very favorite thing about spring is opening up the windows again. I am starting to miss the fresh air!

Thank you for the chance to enter the giveaway and happy spring everyone!

  2. That picture is mouth-watering! I love pastries. Actually, in the spring we go for walks to bakeries on the other end of town and indulge so this is a fitting post for spring for me

  3. Thanks for participating in the giveaway. I love discovering new-to-me authors and blogs…and I love “food-themed” books.
